Based on the economy’s performance over the last few years, how long will it take to get out of debt. But more importantly, based on the population, can you help me visualize that amount of money?

Right-wing nutjob asked: I have a mortgage, car payment, and 10 credit card bills and the other day I went to the bank and took out an $80,000 loan to pay it all off but now I have to pay off the $80,000 and still have a good chunk of my mortgage left.
What do I do, how exactly do I spend my way out of debt? Should I get another loan?

I’m in my mid-20’s…I have a car payment and pay insurance. I have rent (I live with two other people) and school loans. I’m in credit card debt up the wazoo and am making the minimum payments. I have to fill up my tank every week with gas and food costs me approximately $140 monthly. These bills cost me approximately $1900 monthly. I have a very small savings, but even putting away $5 or $10 is hard. I know I have made some bad decisions in regards to the credit cards, but now that I’m in debt, I’m trying to get out of it. I don’t spend much on entertainment cause I don’t have much left over. What can I do to get out of debt and stop living from paycheck to paycheck?

About 6 months ago, my Fiance and I were trying to buy a car. We were approved for a loan… WITH A 17.9% INTEREST RATE!!! It turns out I had a college loan that had gone into collections. After recieving numerous calls from the collection agency, i was applying to have the loan consolidated with another loan I had for school. When i called the agency about a month ago, they said that the debt was no longer in collections and had no further information. What happens when a debt is taken OUT of collections?

I’m 26 and a second year law student. I currently have 27K in unsecured debt. I’m trying desperately to get out of debt and am curious about what the best option is. I am currently living at home to save money. Because I’m in law school, I only have a part time job where the hours fluctuate. My parents are not in a position to help me with the debt. I’m thinking of credit counseling? Debt settlement? Bankruptcy (absolute last option)?? Any suggestions?

keithurban4eva asked: With the financial crisis we are facing at this time, is the economic stimulus package, and all of the teaching cuts going to get us out of debt?
I am sure I heard President Obama explain in one of the debates how important our children’s education is. Then why in the world would they get rid of teaching job’s now?
Thanks for any insight!
Wait are you telling me that Obama is not the ONE!
I thought he was the one who was going to Fix it all!
What happened?
